Junior class fundraiser at the football game in Chambers tonight!
Five Chambers High School students eager to explore healthcare careers traveled to O’Neill on Wednesday, September 18, for an interactive learning experience. The event, hosted by Avera St. Anthony's Hospital in collaboration with Northeast Community College’s O’Neill campus, provided students with an introduction to various healthcare professions.
Participants rotated through 13 different stations, where they engaged in simulated healthcare scenarios and explored career options. Healthcare professionals were on-site to share insights about their respective fields and answer questions. Career stations included the following: Nursing, Surgery, Physical/Occupational Therapy, Radiology, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Respiratory Therapy, Dietary and Support Services, SIM (Simulator) Truck, and Higher Education Representatives.
This event offered students a unique opportunity to experience the day-to-day responsibilities of healthcare professionals and gain valuable information about pursuing careers in the field.
Those attending from Chambers included Sydney Barlow, Abby Ehlers, Savannah Hansen, Rose Woeppel, and Harlie Kloppenborg.
