The current Chambers gym floor is still the original floor that was installed 62 years ago. It has had multiple sandings and paintings throughout its lifetime but due to natural wear and tear, it is now more cost effective to replace the floor than to continue repairing it.
The gym is a cornerstone of our school and draws significant crowds to our facility, not just from Chambers but from other communities. It leaves a lasting impression about our District. The gym is used for a wide variety of activities from banquets, graduations, concerts, plays, contests and even more importantly, it is a classroom that is used nearly every day.
The gym floor is scheduled to be replaced during the 2025 summer break. The cost of replacement is $180,000. Chambers State Bank has generously donated $125,000 towards this project.
