Parent-Teacher Conference

Fall parent-teacher conferences will be held on Thursday, September 19 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  There will be a 2:00 pm dismissal for students on Thursday.  Student Council members will again provide daycare in the gym.  Students are most successful in school when parents are involved in their education.  One way to be involved is by attending parent-teacher conferences and making the most of that time with your teacher.  Here are some tips that might help you prepare for your conference:

1. Progress:  ask questions such as, is my child performing at grade level or what do you see as his/her strengths and how could he/she improve?

2.  Assignments/assessments:  ask to see examples of your child's work and ask how grades are earned.

3.  Your thoughts:  share your thoughts and feelings about your child.  Include what you think your child is good at and explain what he/she needs more help with.

4.  Support learning at home:  ask what you can do at home to help your child learn.

I will be available during conferences to answer any questions you might have.  I hope to see you all on Thursday!
